Palma De Mallorca
What an interesting departure this island makes from our last island in the Maldives! Very tourist driven especially in the summer months with people from northern European climes desperate form a tan and a bit of sun that they were previously missing in their lives throughout the year.
Well, we got here safe and sound by way of a flight back to Kerala in India, another one to Mumbai and then to London and finally from London via Barcelona to Palma.6 flights in 6 days, so we arrived beat.
We´re settled about 2 weeks now in a studio overlooking the beach and attending college most days.Marc is doing his teaching Masters while I am doing a Principals Masters so that pretty much occupies most of the daylight hours which go right through to 10pm at night. It´s funny to come from a land where people think you are strange for getting brown and baking in the sun while here people adore it so much you could still find them on the sand well past 9pm at night.
The structure has provided a necessary semblance to our life after nearly two years on the road. Jack Kerouac, beware!
